Astley Bridge bus stop cordoned off with tape

The stop on Blackburn Road, Astley Bridge has crime scene tape around it – and it is not clear at this time whether buses can stop there.

There are no police on the scene currently and the tape extends down the pathway.

The stop is near Turkis Chargrill and The Dutch Fishmen.

Transport for Greater Manchester has declined to comment saying they are unable to do so as it is a “crime-related” incident.

But The Bolton News is trying to ascertain whether the bus stop is out of use due to a possible investigation.

Greater Manchester Police has been approached for comment.
