Bolton men banned for cannabis driving after court hearing

Lee Pearson was behind the wheel of a Ford Transit on Talbot Road, Trafford, in July last year.

At the same time he had no insurance or licence for the vehicle in question.

The 42-year-old admitted driving under the influence of cannabis, driving with no insurance and without a valid licence when the case called at Manchester Magistrates Court.

Following hits Pearson, from Leinster Street, Farnworth, Bolton, was banned from the roads for a year.

He was also given a fine of £300.

He was also ordered to pay further costs of £205.

Pearson was told he would pay off the amount owed at a rate of £25 per week.

Joe Taylor drove a Peugeot Partner Van on the M56 motorway between junction 12 and 11 in Warrington while under the influence of the drug.

The 31-year-old carried out the offence in November last year.

He admitted the single count when the case called at Warrington Magistrates Court.

Following this he was banned from the roads for a period of 17 months.

He was also given a fine of £833 with the court taking his guilty plea into account.

He was also ordered to pay additional costs of £418.He was told he could pay the amount owed at a rate of £50 per month.
