Brazil defeats New Caledonia 9-0 in FIFA U-17 World Cup Group C

JAKARTA, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) — Brazil secured a convincing 9-0 victory over New Caledonia in Group C of the U-17 FIFA World Cup here on Tuesday.

The match, held at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), saw the Brazilian players deliver a total of 81 shots, while New Caledonia made only five attempts.

In another Group C match, England delivered a 2-1 win against Iran. Reiss Alexander Russell Denny and Joel Tshisanga Ndala scored goals for England during the second half.

Meanwhile, in Group D matches held at Jalak Harupat Stadium in West Java province, Japan lost to Argentina 3-1, while Senegal won 4-1 against Poland.
